How it works
The system, not just the bookings.
The Podcast Pitching Society works in three phases over six months: messaging, then pitching, then citation building. We get you booked on right-fit podcasts, prep you to turn every conversation toward business, and make each episode findable and citable by buyers and AI assistants.

The Bankable Authority™ framework
Stand. Story. Sell.
Every PPS engagement starts with your message, because a booking only pays if the people listening remember what you stand for and know what to do next.
- Stand
The distinct, ownable belief you're known for: a position someone could disagree with, and one your buyers recognize as theirs.
- Story
The proof, from your lived experience and your clients' results. Specific, dated, and yours, so hosts and audiences believe the Stand.
- Sell
The bridge from your perspective to revenue. How the conversation points to your offer, without sounding like an ad.
Your sharpest, most ownable perspectives become your Visibility Power Points™. They show up in your pitch, your bio, your prep, and every interview, so you're saying the same things everywhere. That repetition is what makes you citable.
The flywheel
One interview. Seven ways it keeps paying.
Podcast guesting sits at the center. Everything around it is what turns one conversation into authority that pays.
- 00
Podcast guesting
The center of the system: a long-form, vetted, on-the-record conversation with an audience that trusts the host.
- 01
Interview
You show up prepped, on a right-fit show, with your offer seeded into the conversation.
- 02
Transcript
Every word becomes searchable text that people and AI systems can read.
- 03
Clips
Reels and short videos put your best moments in front of your audience.
- 04
Articles
Each episode becomes a post on your own site, built around what your buyers search for.
- 05
Citations
Your expertise gets referenced across the web, so your name shows up where buyers look.
- 06
AI answers
When AI is looking for the top experts in your niche, you're in there.
- 07
Inbound sales
Buyers arrive already convinced, and you show up to the call as the obvious choice.
Pull it apart and here's what's underneath: currency. That's what we mean by Bankable Authority™.
The three phases
Messaging, pitching, then citations.
- Month 1
Messaging
We sharpen your positioning and Visibility Power Points™, build your pitch materials, and curate your first show list with you.
- Months 2 to 4
Pitching
Intensive pitching, 3 to 5 bookings a month, with a strategy session and a prep session with Carrolee every month.
- Months 5 and 6
Citation building
We plan and begin citation work around your live episodes: articles on your site, social content, clips, and follow-ups.
- Sign-up
Welcome and agreement
You get one email with the link to book your first strategy session and a welcome gift from PPS, and a separate email with your agreement. Once it's signed, you're officially a client partner.
- Onboarding
Your workspace, your Drive, your intake
You get access to your client workspace, a Google Drive with folders to fill (headshots, branding, anything we need to start), and a comprehensive intake form.
- 24 to 48 hours after your first session
Your pitch materials
Built from your intake form, every call so far, and public research, then refined with you in your first strategy session. You sign off before anything goes out.
- Month 1
The 80% yes list
Each show on your curated list gets a yes, no, or need more info. Once about 80% are a yes, pitching starts while we work out the rest. Your yeses become the model for finding similar shows by size and audience.
- Every week
Updates and wins
Shows pitched, shows that said yes, next steps, and a short write-up on each booking with tips from past PPS guests or from Carrolee. You report your wins, obvious and less obvious.
- Every month
Strategy and prep with Carrolee
A strategy session on sales and marketing across your whole business, and a podcast prep session covering your intro, the questions, how to seed your offer, and how to close.
- Month 4
Your recap
A look back at the first four months and the conversation about what's next, including The Citable Expert™ Multiplier.
- Month 6
Your handoff
A body of published episodes and the content built from them. Then you roll into the Multiplier or close out.
What you do
About 5 hours a month.
After the first few weeks, your part is a strategy session, a prep session, and your recordings. That's about 5 hours a month, and less if you have an assistant handling logistics.
The first few weeks ask a little more, because that's when we build your message and materials together. After that, you show up prepped, and you tell us what happened.

Questions
What people ask before they book.
How does a podcast booking agency work?
A podcast booking agency researches shows that fit your expertise, pitches you to their hosts, and schedules the interviews. At The Podcast Pitching Society, that's the start: we also prep you for every interview, turn each episode into content, and build citations so the appearance keeps working after it airs.
What is the Bankable Authority™ framework?
The Bankable Authority™ framework is how we build every client's message. Stand is the distinct, ownable belief you're known for. Story is the proof, from your lived experience and your clients' results. Sell is the bridge from your perspective to revenue.
How long before I'm on my first show?
Pitching starts once you approve your pitch materials and about 80% of your first show list, usually within your first month. Recording dates depend on each show's calendar.
What do I have to do?
After the first few weeks, about 5 hours a month: a strategy session, a prep session, and your recordings. You also report your wins each week.
When does citation building happen?
Citation building is phase two. We introduce it in month four, prep it in months five and six, and it continues in The Citable Expert™ Multiplier.
How do I know it's working?
You get weekly updates and a dashboard with every pitch, booking, and live episode, and you report wins every week, from signed contracts to a host introducing you to a referral partner.
